These days, we’re pleased with celebrities if they stay out of jail for… oh, a month or two.

I didn’t know that Hollywood had any standards.

He’s yet to do anything worth noting.

23 years of age is a ‘lifetime of achievement’?

And the new president did not get there until he was 70?

Talk about taking the ‘slow boat.’

You can’t lower something that’s already at rock-bottom.

All the praise for La La Land is surely a sign of lower standards. The stars sing like Fred Astaire and dance like Bing Crosby.

Lifetime Achievement Award for being an obnoxious brat ?

I used to think Hollywood was scraping the bottom of the barrel what what with all the sequels and trilogies. Now with all the remakes I realize they have begun to look UNDER the barrel!

Every generation fawns over somebody. Sinatra; Elvis; The Beatles; Humperdinck; Manilow; now Bieber. It’s just that the quality of these have changed: Sinatra was a GREAT singer; Elvis was a VERY, VERY GOOD singer; The Beatles were very good; Humperdinck was good; Manilow was poor; need I go on?

I wish they’d deport him back to Canada.
