Knock it off, Skyler. There is a restaurant chain that has a roasted Brussel Sprout appetizer that is absolutely and incredibly delicious. Of course, I even like them simply steamed and covered with butter.
There are so many ways to delicious ways to serve Brussels sprouts including raw in a salad. Unfortunately, too many people cook them to death and who wants to eat gray, soggy, ‘baby cabbage’.
People overcook them and that is why they taste horrible and are mushy. I cut them in half and coat with olive oil, salt and pepper and roast them for about 15-20 minutes and they are great.

They taste better raw in salad than cooked or steamed.

To bad we couldn’t deport them back to Brussels. But I will not eat them raw or cooked.

NEEDACHUCKLE is absolutely right. Roasting is also great for cauliflower and asparagus.
