Speaking of words like repentance, has anyone ever heard of a gruntled postal employee? Or has one ever thought just how ridiculous it is to assign a gender to the Creator, Maker and Shaper of the vast universe?
Definition of pent : shut up, confined, repressed, a pent crowd.“My object, all sublime,I shall achieve in time,To make the punishment fit the crime,The punishment fit the crime. To make each prisoner pent,Unwillingly represent,A source of innocent merriment,Of innocent merriment.” — The Mikado, from "The Mikado, Gilbert and Sullivan
Yes, well, knowing they are losing the belief overrides facts battle, they are now giving god credit for science. That’s the problem with beliefs vs facts. Beliefs are hard to give up, because no provable facts are required to have them. Facts are facts, whether you believe them or not.
The whole notion that my facts trump your facts, doesn’t hold water. Facts are facts, you can’t just make up more convenient ones. You have to have a repeatable basis of proof. Meaning, just because you added 1+1 and you came up with 3 as the answer once, does not make it fact over the truth that 1+1=2.

This reminds me of an old joke:
• Before you get to Heaven, you have to repent.
• Before you can repent, you have to sin.
• So, start sinning! :)
