It’s been a long time since Gary and Susie have used this format for the Sunday strip. I have missed this format! (I thought it might have been a rerun, but an investigation revealed the copyright year to be 2017.)
Our printed Sunday comics cut the top three panels off this strip. They put their own boring header identifying it as Shoe with the Brookins and MacNelly names. This happens a lot here in Rochester, NY

Those “hard blow” (hurricane and tornado) reporters always put a such a spin on their stories.
But they are just in training for reporting on the real blowhards — politicians.

There’s only one prediction that meteorologists make that is 100% accurate. If Jim Cantore books a flight to your home town it time to evacuate.

Cantore was spot on with his predicted path of Irma hitting the west coast of Florida. He was quite adamant on air for 3 or 4 days prior to landfall.
The only thing that would have made it more impressive would have been if he had been in Naples at landfall and not Miami.
