Double A or Triple A?…..
That is what Columbo’s mechanic would say.
You don’t have the Energizer Bunny running on a large hamster wheel to power that car?
When they feature his car it always makes me think of family’s DeSoto
I’d bet that old DeSoto probably had an old tar-top battery in it.. 12 volts for sure, but still charged back up by an old generator.
Man, I’d love to see a classic like Cosmo’s car with a 45KW battery and an EV system.
As a teen my neighbors dad once told me Jack up the license plate and drive a new car underneath
Must be my car
How many readers today had no idea DeSoto was an actual brand? I think 1961 was the end?
Yep, saw that one coming. ;-}
My opinion is the Perfesser’s car is a 1959 DeSoto Fireflite.
His car needs a new everything…
I remember by Dad had an old black sedan, without the wings, circa 1949. I think it was a Chevy, about the same age I was.
Earliest car I remember my folks had was a 1939 Packard. It had the "gangster doors, running boards, tire on each front fender. I thought it was the cat’s meow. LOL
ba dum tss
Back when I was a kid, and Cosmo’s car was new, the saying would have been, “Better to jack up the radiator cap and drive a new car under it.”
I have heard it said “Jack up the radiator cap, slide a new car under it then replace the radiator cap.”
Mam, could you sew a shirt on this button for me?
Don’t let some yahoo mechanic diss your Desoto! He should feel privileged to work that car!
Why does a bird need a car.
