“Best” health care system in the world??? Oh, wait until I stop laughing so hard, or I may have to go to the hospital!!!
By what metric are we best? Certainly not even close to best in terms of number of people with access to care, infant mortality, life expectancy, prevention of disease, or general health of the population. Really there is NO reasonable measure of what health care for a nation should do on which we are even close to best.
I’ll grant that we might be “best” in terms of the care that can be bought IF (and ONLY IF) one has a whole lot of money. I don’t think anyone disputes that RICH people can get good medical care in the U.S., but that’s hardly a reasonable measure of the success of a health care system for a whole nation.
Oh, I’ll bet we’re also “best” at the proportion of health care dollars going to straight to profits for health insurance and pharmaceutical companies, rather than actually paying for any kind of care to patients.
(We’re also best at deluding ourselves into believing we’re best at everything, even when there’s absolutely no objective evidence to back that up.)
Actually, in this country, no one is denied healthcare as you claim. There isa difference between not having healthcare and not having health insurance. Having said that, I can only assume that your ignorance simply flows on your left wing socialist agenda.
Also, your comments on “profits” is disturbing. I am sure that you work for free at whatever your job may be. Otherwise, if your income exceeds the cost of producing that income, you are making a profit. But, usually those of you on the left make rules for others, but exempt yourselves.
