In Spring and Fall, flocks of migrating Starlings lined our overhead utility wires — hundreds of them lined up with equal spaces between them, as if in strict military formation. But if you watched long enough there was an occasional oddball that would lose its grip and spin upside down. Weird! It must have been embarrassing to all of them.
