the sooner the NCAA is dumped by all the colleges, the better.
The colleges make tens of millions off the sweat of the students yet make sure that the “student” can not make any money at all. Then after the “student” has gone, they punish the college because the “student” wanted a piece of the pie.
Same with the Div I non chanpionship champions. Div. II and Div. III have playoffs to determine their champion, but Div I can’t have a playoff system, because….? It would mean less money for the big boys to split. But god help the college if one of their players takes a dime.
Get rid of the NCAA.
Keep the NCAA, and get rid of the money. Baseball has separate tracks for minor leagues and college teams, so why not football? If all you want to do is play ball, go play in a minor league. If you want to be a “student athlete”, go the college route, and keep your grades up. Same goes for basketball. The pretense these days that either the Athletic Depts. or the players have any interest in EDUCATION 90% of the time is ridiculous.
