As a baseball umpire, if I had a team doing whatever the Hack-A-Shaq equivalent would be (I’m not really sure what it would be to be honest) I would use the “Making a Mockery of the Game” rule, warn the team(s) that if it continues, I will start ejecting people. It’s ridiculous. Maybe the NBA should adjust the rule — you start Hack a Shaqing, call it a technical foul, other team shoots, then gets the ball at the center line.
