The most depressing moment of a sports fan’s life – when he realizes that he loves his team much more than the team loves him (i.e.: loyalty is a one-way street.)

The Premier soccer league in the UK already does this. Stars are rested for the regular Saturday afternoon League fixtures in order for them to be ready for the parallel Champions League Tournament games, which are big ticket midweek contests.

The Spurs were fined $250,000 for resting their “Stars” yet this year several teams have done the same with nothing but words from the NBA head office

The NBA needs to stop scheduling back to backs like Monday in Orlando and Tuesday in Milwaukee then follow it with Thursday in Charlotte and then home on the West Coast for Houston on Saturday and San Antonio on Monday before leaving for Portland on Tuesday night. Major League Baseball gave up double headers years ago, even the day-night double headers. time for the NBA to stop with the back to backs.

Professional sports – proof positive that people don’t require logic to be lured, just advertising. Just like politics.
