Some families get along better at a distance. My family’s comfort zone is about 2300 miles.

My 88 year old father and I Skype every Sunday night and every Wednesday night. As he and I live 4 hours apart, I can visit only a half dozen times per year. The new technologies bring their own set of problems, but on balance they have greatly improved life. I remember when a long distance call was $1+/minute.

“Don’t bother to call me—I only brought you into this world and fed and clothed you. Don’t even give your only mother a passing thought. I mean, REALLY don’t call me, or think of me either. I’m sure not thinking about you.” How refreshing! Guilt-trip in reverse!

How come she’s in the senior community and dad’s in the RV? She sounds completely together, and he’s the one with the memory – not to mention gambling – problem. Should it be reversed?

Looks like Mom and Dad aren’t sharing a life any more.

Of all the entertainment comics I look at regularly, Tank is the only one which is addressing the Coronovirus. Thanks.
