Not that college kids don’t do reckless and stupid things (just look at several of the U of Alabama basketball players), but there’s a lot to be said about staying in college for four years. Many players might more than make up for the foregone earnings when they’re 19-22 on the back end of their careers in the NBA.
But as long as he performs on the court, the NBA and/or the Grizzlies won’t much care. He got a slap on the wrist 8 game without pay suspension. 8 games without pay? At his salary level he loses $669,000 and while that would buy us a new Ferrari and a mansion in Beverley Hills, he won’t miss it at all. He won’t learn anything from it either. Give a 23 year old a $193 million dollar contract to play basketball, along with a $12 million dollar Nike deal and this is what you get. And the kids coming up from Alabama will join the same club.
“Influencer” sounds like a term someone would come up with to define themselves when they do nothing of real value. Paris Hilton and the Kardashians come to mind.
It even has an evil ring to it, like the Harry Potter dementors.
‘Brandishing a gun"…Don’t know that I’d call showing that little tiny gun “brandishing”. (Yes, I know it’s still a gun, and he shouldn’t blah blah blah.)
Last I looked, Tennessee is an open-carry state. So is Colorado. Plenty of insecure guys parade around plenty of inappropriate places strapped. Interesting how this is the guy being treated as a case that needs treatment. Wonder why?

I checked out Tik Tok, once. Almost by definition, “Influencer” is bad.

I had never heard of him until now. But then the NBA is dead to me. This is just one more reason why.
