Our transportation department included temporary bat shelters in the renovation of an elevated freeway. They’re in the area in large numbers every year and never bother anyone. West Nile Virus made mosquitoes more than a nuisance.

I am reminded of an episode of Lil’ Abner in which they had an infestment of some sort of animal. The government came with an animal to eat that animal. Then they had too many of THAT animal so the government brought another animal to eat that one. And it kept going.

But what if the bats attack you?

I’d buy one. Bats are cool.

We have no mosquitos in our yard due to the bat houses attached to our house. Love ’em.
