Now waitsaminute. It look like their moon rotates around their sun? Then by definition it should be a planet and not moon? Oh well, whatever. This tale is too crazy even for me.
Wow, Mr. Burroughs must have smoking some crazy ganji, a lot of it. I read his Mars series when I was a teeny bop, but never got into the Tarzan stuff, and never read “At the Earth’s Core”. I got hooked on E.E. “Doc” Smith and R. A. Heinlein.

Ah, so that’s the moon, eh. Now I’m intrigued whether they has the rest of the solar system in there too.

The “science” of Pellucidar is from Edgar Rice Burroughs’ 1914 book “At the Earth’s Core.”

I would guess that the airplane is probably a thipdar, a kind of pterosaur.
