Tarzan is a bit thick here. The real Tarzan would be suspicious. She doesn’t know Warrick well, or she wouldn’t have mistaken Tarzan’s identity. She may have been trying to save Tarzan’s life, or realized that killing him would mean the baddies couldn’t discover the map/treasure. And traveling with you means she’s on your side? (I remember the Doc Savage pulps where the ‘mystery’ villain was someone who was traveling with Doc, and some warning about nurturing a snake at your bosom.)
