Seems to me Numa is so weak from hunger, he missed the leap.

So he sees them as breakfast, does he? A mane meal? With that sword, a cutting remark?

So… The city shuts down when the gong goes off and you’ve got, like five minutes, to run for cover before the (two?) lions are let out? Everyone knows that. So, rather than just holing up for hours you make a run for it ‘cause there aren’t any guards out? Sorta makes sense. Of course it would be fun to just lay low and see how long the lion alert lasts.

Does a lion suffering from perpetual malnutrition fight better than a well-fed lion? Are escaped prisoners such a huge problem they have to keep a pride of lions on retainer to hunt them? Is the writer, really, really desperate to drag this out?

The lions figured it out, ask for 2 get 1, so the they started to ask for 4 and got their 2.

Seems like the artist has it wrong as the lion is jumping at Tarzan, not Kailuk. Maybe he didn’t read the script.

The panel is missing where Tarzan said, “Hold my beer.”

So Tarzan has to take on poor hungry weak lions who always half fed eh. You thinks guy who kills strong lions without a scratch on him is not kill half fed weak ones eh?

We need some of those deranged lions here in LA to patrol the streets at night and deal with those street criminals in ever-increasing abundance!

Bad choice, Numa! Tarz’ will see to it that Kailuk is not on the menu!

Poor starving Numa just doesn’t know Tarzan, Lord of the Apes and Slayer of Lions….
