Most adult cats are lactose-intolerant. Just because they will drink milk or cream doesn’t mean it is good for them. I believe this to be the biggest cause of “smelly cat” syndrome, immortalized by the great “Phoebe Buffay” in her song “Smelly Cat”.

One of my cats will drink small quantities of coconut milk and I have no idea why. Doesn’t seem to cause any problems.
