John Ashcroft has announced the arrest of some dude who was clearly up to no good. (John Ashcroft: Let dudes everywhere be put on notice: If you're up to no good, we will track you down!) Some Democrats doubt that the right dude is in custody or that the evidence proves that he was really up to no good. (Woman: Since when is there a law against looking suspicious?) (Woman 2: If it can happen to one dude, it can happen to all dudes!) And civil livertarians say the dude was arrested for less no-goodery than for his dudeness. (Man 2: Not every dude is up to no good- and not everyone up to no good is a dude! Most Americans, however, breathed a collective sigh or relief. (Woman: Without even knowing it, we were living in fear of some dude. Now, thanks to the attorney general, we're safe!) (Man 3: If a little dudile profiling is required, so be it!)
