Liberals, however, should avoid the temptation to use morals as a basis for policy. (Woman 1: Capital punishment is wrong.) (Woman 2: What do liberals know about morals? You're bestialists!) (Woman 1: No we're not.) (Woman 2: Are so.) (Woman 1: Are not.) (Woman 2: Are so.) Practical arguments are more effective. (Man 2: Death penalty have the highest crime rates.) (Woman: Life in prison costs less than death penalty litigation.) For what does it profit a man to sell his soul- unless it makes a good soundbyte? (Man 3: Invading Iraq was too expensive. And it tied up troops we need to invade other counties!)
