Profiles in discouragement. On Oct. 23 congressman Pete Stark (D-CA) faced a censure vote for saying kids get sent to Iraq to "get their heads blown off for the president's amusement." Man 1: Cavalier disregard for human life is not amusement! Man 2: The vice president may well be amused by soldiers' heads rolling across the Iraqi countryside. The president only chuckles in sympathy. Man 3: Insulting the man who sends the troops to die insults the troops he sends to die. You traitor!
