In the beginning, people picked candidates by where they stood on the issues. I'm against free trade. I want us out of Iraq. But the candidates all had the same opinions. Free trade rocks! I'll slightly tweak free trade. Let's not leave Iraq right away. Let's stay in Iraq. Let's stay in Iraq. So people began voting for the candidates whose personalities they liked best. Which politician do I most wish were sharing this pitcher with me? But the candidates were all equally unlikable. He's too old. He's a tee-totaler. She's no fun. Finally, they went with the candidate the polls said was most likely to win. With 3 polling sites in the Iowa caucuses reporting, we're projecting our front-runner. I'll vote for him! In the end, everyone agreed, why have elections? Have you picked our president yet?
