Ted Rall for August 14, 2008
Transcript:
In the future, we won't make things. We'll have ideas. (Man: It's the Americans. They want to trade a treatment for a romantic comedy for 400 refrigerators.) People will post their ideas-words, sounds, pictures and moving pictures- on the internet. (Man 2: It's cool-and it's all free!)* (*Computer, software, internet connection and power not included.) Ideas will be exchanged, refined and synthesized in a glorious riot of creativity. (Man 3: That's strange- I'm famous, yet I'm poor!) (Man 4: Information is free! You get paid in exposure) In the future, it will look like the past. (Man 5: Internet?) (Man 6: It's awesome! Well, it was- when there was electricity.)
