Friends and neighbors are shocked to learn the identity of the man suspected of coldly taking the lives of 6 people, all members of the same ethnic group. (Man 1: Seemed nice) (Man 2: Kinda cold fish.) (Man 3: Had a telepropter) To those who track extremeist hate groups, however, the violence was not a surprise for one thing, he was already under investigation for earlier, similar crimes. Besides, he'd been saying a lot of crazy stuff for a long time. He thought he was some sort of avenging angel. (Barack Obama: If I put you on my kill list, you're dead yo. So why did he do it? The murder may have been influenced by hateful speech in the media and nationalist extremism in popular culture. Paranoid and delusional, the killer apparently thought the U.S. faced an existential threat from "foreigners" and non-christians. (Man: But they're on the other side of the world. In places without mail or running water.) The last straw, say the authorities may have been the mass murders fear of impending job loss. (Barack Obama: Polls sinking... but why? I haven't done anything wrong! Or anything at all....
