Even by the Historical memory-deprived standards of the U.S., republicans' willingness to keep the door open for Trump is remarkable. (Man: Hopefully his new campaign manager will stop his overtly racist and sexist slurs.) Even if Trump were to turn on a dime- (Donald Trump: My love of diversity in all its forms prompts my 6-point plan for comprehensive reform of immigration which is...) Why should voters forget the stuff that "old Trump" said in the (recent!) past? (Man: Mass round-ups and proto-fascism? That was early summer. He's evolved! Also, he's not Hillary Clinton.) Not that democrats are any better... (Woman: If the winds changed. She'd send gays to GITMO. But she's not Trump!)
