Puppyface, maybe your sources at the hospital haven’t turned over every stone. When a dear friend went blind, she thought she could find resources for her at her doctor’s office, but every helpful organization she has came from friends searching for her. I don’t know Denver at all, as I am from Chicago, but I would check with Catholic Charities, Lutheran Family services, and the Salvation Army (you do not need to be from their religions to receive help), as well as the United Way for help seeking housing. I had some time this afternoon, and I found these links which I hope will prove to be helpful: http://www.seniorsresourceguide.com/directories/Denver/search.php?region=CO04&topic=110
