A dog has to do it for the time being, but once I move she is gonna have to share me with a couple of cats!

I’m back home and apparently going to have to live in a model home… the Realtor put EVERYTHING away. Took me 10 minutes to find my car keys that were not hanging on the key rack. They were in the silverware drawer!

The third one reminds me of Grumpy Cat. I heard that she just died. She was only 7 years old.

Last Sunday was Mother’s Day. Today, it’s Stepmother’s Day. It’s also National May Ray Day (I haven’t figured out what that means) and National Take Your Parents to the Playground day (I can’t do that because neither of my parents are living) and National Devil’s Food Cake Day. I intend to “celebrate” cake day one one day late. I have a few vacation days (just 4 days) starting on Monday and I’m celebrating my vacation days by baking a cake. I was hoping to finish planting my garden during my vacation days, but the weather forecast doesn’t bode well for doing that Lots of rainy days this coming week. :(

I had a lovely day with my daughter and great-granddaughter yesterday, we raided a garden center and I got two peonies, two nice rosebushes and two bleeding hearts; all in two-gallon pots and beautifully healthy. I also got two hanging baskets for our deck, some dahlia bulbs and perennial seeds. Hopefully the little garden patch the landlord has around his tree will be nicely transformed and have something other than day lilies.

Cats.
