We had a good Christmas too. I mean, me and my family, not just me and my cats. We had really great weather – it got up to about 55°F – just one degree short of the record for that date. We prefer that to a cold, white Christmas any time! And it was the first time in years that we got the family all together (well, ALMOST – a couple brothers were missing) without any conflicts, arguments or other drama. Our family has been “broken” for a long time but I’m hopeful that we are finally mending fences and becoming a family again.
Here’s a picture of the family, including my brothers (and wife of one brother), my nieces & nephews, girlfriend and daughter of one nephew. We should have done a picture of just me & my brothers (oh yeah, I forgot my sister didn’t make it either) but we didn’t do that. Maybe next time.
From yesterday to Bbear – good to hear that you’re getting a kitten (but 2 kittens would be better)! You say she’s an orange kitty and you didn’t know what to name her – well, I was thinking that the next time I get an orange female kitty, I’d probably name her Ginger. Maybe that would be a good name for your little girl.
When you are out and about, buy a can of fake snow. Tuck it away until spring then spray it on those windows the birds hit. It will wash away with a hose.

I went back to yesterday’s posts and saw that I had posted three separate times. I have no explanation for this phenomena. Also some (maybe all) of the people on my email list are suddenly out of the blue having problems seeing the pictures that I send them. Obviously the problem has to be at my end. So I have stopped using Winduhs 10 Mail as my email client. That leaves Gmail. I hope that works. I’m out of ideas.
I am shocked to discover we all missed the most sacred of all cat days. Yesterday was Boxing Day which celebrates those impossibly tiny cardboard boxes cats love.
R.I.P Don IMUS. When I first heard him on the radio in the 70’s he had a wonderful cat..couldn’t get enough of her. He met and married Diedre and….the cat preferred her. Lol.
Awwww, how sweet. :) Anyone who thinks that cats can’t show affection has obviously never owned one. On another note, saw some geese in a field on the way to town today.
