I just think Bluebell is jealous.

What a weird Easter, sat around and ate leftovers for dinner. They were good, but still.

Took a walk this morning and there wasn’t a single person anywhere. The Lutheran Church on the corner was empty. Sigh

I want to thank everyone (so many of you!) for your kind words of condolence at the loss of my little Lovebug. Though there are only 2 of you who I have actually met in person, I am grateful to have so many friends here who understand how I’m feeling right now. Some of your messages brought tears to my eyes. After I went to bed last night and I closed my eyes trying to sleep, I thought I caught a quick glimpse of Lovebug running through the grass, then turning and looking at me before running off again. Funny – the same thing happened when Tigger crossed that Rainbow Bridge in November of 2018. Thank you all for caring and sharing your own stories. I know I will heal in time as I always do when one of my fur kids dies. I never pick favorites with my cats, but Lovebug was extra special as she fought her health issues so long and so bravely. I’m glad her passing was quiet and that I was able to hold and pet her right to the end.

Today is:

National Scrabble Day

National Make Lunch Count Day. I’m working and I always pack the same old sandwiches & stuff for lunch – I don’t know how to make my lunch count.

National Thomas Jefferson Day

National Peach Cobbler Day. Hmmm – peach cobbler for dessert could make lunch count, couldn’t it? But I don’t have any peach cobbler in the house.

Does anyone know which cats are the females? I know Lily & Bluebell & someone I think said Jellybean any others?

Poor Bluebell is worried about our Ches.

High winds and storms here today. Trees down on the street behind me so power went out this morning a little after 7. As I write, it’s almost 9 p.m. and still out. So glad I got the standby generator and can have lights and internet.

Sounds like being in love is similar to being drunk. (For Chesney, anyway.) On another note, saw a robin and some bumblebees while out walking today.

Saturday night and Sunday all day…we got 3.25" of rain. (West Tennessee) It was a soggy mess walking to the barn. Hallie, my barn cat, was waiting inside the barn morning and evening for her crunchies. Tinker Belle did not leave her stall…donkeys don’t like rain. A horse will stand out in rain all day. Missing my horses…but best I just have smaller equines these days. Today was chilly and windy…the birds mobbed the feeders all day long and I had to replenish with black oil sunflower seeds about 4 p.m.
