Oh before I forget… Mamma & Poppa Goose brought 6 babies out this morning and showed them the grass. They paid close attention, before running off in 6 directions. A couple of honks and they ran back and clustered close to Mama!
The local newspaper had an article about how locals are slamming the local plant nurseries for gardening supplies. Not only because people are bored, but they fear the crop supply chain will disappear if the pandemic worsens. This is the first year I’m not even growing vegetables in large pots. The dang deer make even that impossible.
Virus or no virus, I’m still planning on growing a garden this year. Whether or not I succeed remains to be seen, but it never hurts to try. On another note, saw some ravens and some juncos while out walking today.
I’m digging up a small garden by my front walkway. Got to get out to a garden center soon for 2 bags of garden soil to amend the dirt and add some lime to sweeten the soil. There will be 4 tomatoes and 2 hills of yellow crookneck squash…and some herbs here and there .
