I am dumbfounded by the idiots who think they can go out in public without a mask and they will be okay.

The numbers are going up and that’s because nobody is wearing a mask!

I don’t see many people in positions 2 or 3, but I see lots with their noses out or the mask barely on.

    Today is:

    National HVAC Tech Day

National Chocolate Eclair Day. That sounds good, but I don’t need the calories.

National Onion Rings Day. Not for me. I hate onions!

Driving home from work last night, I saw a duck and a bunch of little ducklings crossing the highway. An odd place for ducks to cross because it wasn’t near a lake or anything. And to think if I had left work when I was supposed to (at 6:00), I would have missed seeing it. I was trying to finish up a couple things and I was the only person scheduled in the garden center all day, so I worked 40 minutes past my clock-out time. I wonder if there were 2 adult ducks – both parents. I did not see an adult duck in front of the ducklings, I just saw one following the babies. Surely, one of the parents must have been walking ahead, leading the way, but if so, I was too far away to see that. I couldn’t even count the babies from as far away as I was. They made it into the tall grass by the time I got close.

I saw this picture of a dog a couple of days ago and it’s relevant to today’s strip (It even has a picture of a cat in it) ;-)

I admit to not wearing a mask outside when I am among close friends/family (and home) but at the grocer’s or general shopping, out of respect for others (myself, too) and the request of most establishments, I do. One has to wear a shirt and shoes to enter most buildings/businesses so how hard is it to add a mask for a few minutes? There are some pretty nice ones out there!

There were two columns in today’s local newspaper (yes, I’m a Boomer who reads the paper daily) on the editorial page. One said that wearing masks was a left-wing liberal conspiracy and we should resist the progressives and more blather. The other column said that wearing masks was a pro-Trump right-wing conspiracy and more blather. Both columns were equally disturbing. Thankfully, no one reads the paper any more. I personally wear a mask in stores and also latex gloves. By the way, the “spike” in cases in WV is idiots returning from vacationing from Myrtle Beach SC, a popular WV vacation spot.

This is something we shouldn’t need a tutorial on; but, sadly, a lot of people do.

Very nicely stated. Most masks are imperfect at best (N95 is of course best, but not perfect either)…. but any mask worn will help to decrease the distance of movement of exhaled vapors…. so it is the considerate thing to do for everyone.

I have lost a friend to COVID-19. It infuriates me seeing people not wearing masks or wearing them around their chins. Yes, a mask is there to protect others. It offers some protection to you, but someone can breathe or cough in your direction and get the virus in your eye. We all need to wear masks whenever we go out to protect others. I protect you, you protect me.

When I have to pass near someone not wearing a mask, I also pull my scarf (worn for this purpose) up over my face to protect my eyes and turn away as best I can. I get laughed at, snickered at, and ridiculed by these idiots. I don’t care. My friend wore a mask and some idiot killed her.

The joggers around here are the worst. No consideration. They won’t move over and just huff and puff and gasp in my face.

All I know is if I tried to put a mask on my cat in any of those three positions, I’d have scratch marks all over me!

Never leave home without a mask. These days, that’s common sense. (Or at least it should be.) On another note, saw a towhee, some robins , four rabbits, and a butterfly while out walking today. A beetle flew onto my arm and then flew off.
