The tractor’s owner is bound to want it returned. Better have Lily answer the door until it is.

Kind of anti climax, but if Oliver is safe in his own bed, I’ll take it.

I swear my life is a soap opera..a couple of floor boards on the floor looked kind of buckled, so I called a plumber, they opened two walls and yep a pipe had broken. So of course it will take a week to get the valve.

They brought in Absolute Flood Restoration and they found some mold ( in this heat I’m not surprised) so they set up two VERY noisy fans that have to run for a WEEK to dry out the walls. Plus they have to take out the hall cabinets to get to the pipes. And we now have one shower for the three of us. I started a claim with the Insurance Co. sigh

Aliens could land in the back tomorrow and I wouldn’t bat an eye!

At least little Oliver is OK. Annie should get a steak for Chesney’s eye and he can eat it after (with Oliver, if course).

Today is:

National Blueberry Muffin Day. I like chocolate chip muffins better. I don’t really like blueberries

All American Pet Photo Day. My camera is being stupid and doesn’t want to work. I won’t be taking any pet photos today, I’m afraid.

Wow – I finished marking down all of the annual flowers yesterday. It took 3 days to do it, partly due to the rain slowing me down on Thursday, but it’s done now. I even got some of the shrubs marked down. Now all I have left is some perennials which I should be able to get all done on Sunday, if I can get a price scanner. And I hope to also do a second markdown on the trees.

I’m so glad Chesney and Oliver are home safely. Maybe Annie will get some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream to go with that pie.

They are home! Now I can breathe easy. It might be the best pumpkin pie ever, but I bet Chesney complains about Annie’s cooking. He can’t help himself.

Today’s toon with description is SO sweet that I just made it my computer Lockscreen. It really shows how Lil Oliver is still kitten sized compared to that large Orange head. Chesney looks so darn cute driving the tractor back home, and, his shiner makes him truly heroic (cause WE KNOW he, once again, saved Ollie’s life). I say ‘2nd servings all ’round of that pumpkin pie’ and all’s well that ends well (til the next time……..).

Toto, my grand chicken, had a pretty good day. She even laid an egg. I wet down the concrete around the big kennel as it was very hot today (and had a box fan on low to keep a breeze for her). She had watermelon, chicken crumbles and electrolyte water. When my daughter got home from work, 6:45, she fixed a bird foot size tub of Epson salts water to soak her poor foot. All chickens are asleep now. I know she is missing her friends in the coop (1 rooster, Buddy and 9 hens….and yes they all have names.)

What a good ending. :) Like they say, all’s well that ends well, especially with pumpkin pie! On another note, saw a rabbit and a robin while out walking today. I also heard a chickadee and some geese. A neighbor told me that the geese like to hang out at a pond deep in the woods.
