Thanks everyone, for expressions of condolence at the passing of my good friend, Cindy. I think she was only about one year older than I am. The other friends in our lunch group are a bit older. One – Linda- just celebrated her 50-year wedding anniversary. They can’t have a big gathering to celebrate until the stupid COVID thing is over.

Thanks, too for the peach recipes (and some laughs – I needed those). I’m going to try both the cobbler and the jam – maybe after work tonight.

Aw, those poor kitties. I was going to post “what a bunch of scaredy cats” , but I decided that wouldn’t be very nice. Frankly, I don’t blame them for being freaked out. As scary stories go, that’s a really creepy one! On another note, saw some chickadees, a raven, a junco, and a dragonfly while out walking today. I also saw a Stellar’s jay and another junco outside.

Well…I expected a day of rest, then Yesmin requested my chicken soup. And I was out of celery, so off to the grocery. I made her soup, and had it cool enough to take out to my daughter when she got off work at 6:30 (she works two 12 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday at Delta Faucet driving a forklift, and makes more than she did working 5 days a week) (she has an international MBA but never wants to work in an office again (worked in our embassy in Mexico City and for the army in Iraq (she speaks many languages)). (And she taught Spanish in High Schools in Houston for several years and also never wants to do that again) And now she is teaching Yesmin and her sister 5 days a week.Anyway, many thanks, Eldo, and all who have sent prayers for Yesmin.
