I noticed my Fluffy sitting by a bowl of dry cat food one day, just looking at the food, but not eating. Then I realized she was getting thinner. So I started feeding her canned food twice a day. Well, it’s hard to feed canned food to just one cat when you happen to live with a whole bunch of cats, so whenever I feed Fluffy her canned food, I have to give a little canned cat food to all the other beggars in the area. So now, twice a day (at least), I have a bunch of cats looking at me and telling me it’s time to eat.
By the way, this was months ago that I noticed Fluffy not eating and since I started feeding canned cat food twice a day, she regained the weight she had lost. She looks great for an old lady cat who is over 20 years old (I think she’s about 22, but I don’t know her exact age. I think I got her in 2014).
National Toothache Day. I think it’s crazy to have a day “celebrating” toothaches, but this observation is supposed to be about how you can prevent toothaches.
National Bagel and Lox Day. Give me donuts over bagels. I’m not a fan of bagels.

National Cut the Cord Day. Break free from expensive cable bills on February 9th by celebrating National Cut the Cord Day! The streaming movement has rapidly grown over the past five years, and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping. As the digital world supplies more choices, it also provides the flexibility, selection, and reliability we’ve been looking for. So it’s no surprise that industry analysts estimate that up to six million people will cut the cord on traditional TV subscriptions in 2020.
As the devices for streaming continue to grow, more people look to cut the cord from cable. Whether binge-watching old favorites or catching the evening news, cord-cutters can customize a channel lineup for half the price of cable.HOW TO OBSERVE #NationalCutTheCordDay
Cutting the cord has never been easier. With apps and online tools, learn more about the benefits and opportunities of cutting the cord. Weigh the pros, cons and potential savings. When you’re ready to lean into the freedom of streaming on-demand content plus live TV, cut the cord!
I cut my cable 16 yeas ago and don’t miss it a bit. But I don’t do streaming of any kind either. I just watch the free local TV stations and I have DVD’s and VHS tapes of other shows to watch when there’s nothing good on TV.
No word from the good doctor. I have three ailments: Liver cancer, diverticulitis, and thrush. I have got the second and third malady under control. But am in a weakened state, frequently falling down, My doctor wands to institutionalize me. Bye for now.
Valentine’s Day would be the perfect time for another visit from…… drum roll ….the one, the only, Mimieux. Oh, how excited, and tongue tied, would Jack and Chesney be!!!! Graham, PLEASE. For the boys (and her many fans).
Bucky is having some issues. He’s not putting his full weight on his right front leg, and when he’s sitting he holds it up. He had the same problem last November. We took him to the vet last week and she scheduled x-rays, but the appointment isn’t until the 18th. In the meantime, he’s on a liquid anti-inflammatory that we put in his wet food.
Well, giving someone food IS a good way to show you care about them, so the kitty does have a point. On another note, saw five varied thrushes, two sparrows, and five juncos while out walking today.
Actual warnings of ice storm for Thursday now. Expect dangerous roads, possible power outages due to tree limbs falling on power lines. I’m getting my lanterns out and checking batteries. I bought extra equine feed today for my old donkey, and meds for my Brittany, and filled my car up with gas. I’m abut as ready as possible. I invited my friend down the road to come here if power is out to stay warm. My wood stove is great and can double as a cook top if necessary. In the great ice storm of ’94 (no power for 2 weeks), I “invented” a new joke (perhaps discovered is the better word). What do you call pizza cooked in a wood stove. Pizza flambé!

I think women hope men mistake that hungry feeling for love. It would explain a lot of tardiness. :)
