I think all of us can predict the future. We may not know exactly when it’s coming or why, but we know that sooner or later, Jack and Chesney will find themselves sitting out on the loading dock.
National Pack Rat Day. I’m guilty of this, but I’m hoping to get rid of some of my pack rat stuff when I have a yard sale (hopefully soon).
National Cherry Cobbler Day
National Graduation Tassel Day
National Walnut Day
National Idaho Day
Best of all, it’s day one of my 6 day vacation! I plan on doing a little gardening (planting squash and watermelon), a little yard work (my lawn needs mowing) a little house cleaning (as little as possible) and a whole lot of sitting around, reading and relaxing. Staycations are wonderful!
I’d like to think he is giving the warehouse a fresh coat, but that would be work! Yesterday I saw a jay fly out of a cherry tree with one in his beak, so I cut a large shade cloth in half and spent an hour wrapping the 2 trees Craig planted that are producing well for the first time. We have western tanagers lurking around town and they have been known to strip a tree in an afternoon. A white peach tree I planted 2 years ago has a few dozen, I’ll need to wrap it from the squirrels as they get closer to ripening. I grew up with 2 Babcock peach trees, they were my favorite.
Now, the file is closed and it’s quite nail-biting, huh? Lily is spitting nails and hits the nail on the head. I can only agree with her: a paint can opened causeless will dry out in no time. And “Be-bop-a-Lula” she’ll bop a you, ya!
I deserve the Loading Dock. Move over Chesney. I (GASP) forgot to read TC yesterday. Just did so…and noticed that Oliver wants to go to DISLEYLAND. Yes, that is how the ’lil tyke pronounced it…twice!!!
That was inevitable, since ticking off Lily seldom ends well for him. Wonder what Chesney is going to do with that paint. (Probably nothing good.) On another note, saw three rabbits, six robins, and a sparrow while out walking today. Two of the robins got into a bit of a scuffle, but thankfully, neither one was hurt, and they just flew off in opposite directions.

Lily has a powerful left cross. She must train with Eno’s (THE DUPLEX) potential dates. Lil is much more attractive too.
