Loading dock express, here we come. Chesney is alone this time.

Tonight I managed to set my barbecue on fire! The paint on the lid caught, then one side side started burning! I am very fire conscious, it was on open sandy ground away from trees, I was continually watching and had a full bucket of water in case of sparks. Who ever heard of such a thing?

The rest of the week: 105, 106, 107 100, 100 with high winds, basically we`ll be sand blasted. Sigh

NONE of my comics show comments this morning. To get here, I had to do a search then read it. I think I might have to delete all of them then re-add them. Grrrr

Nope. That didn’t work.

I have a sort of funny question I have to ask. I’m writing a kid’s book and I’m working with a private publisher (and friend) to get the book published – hopefully by sometime next year. The book is titled Wanda Weird. It’s about a nine-year old girl who is bullied and teased a lot in school and she escapes through her daydreams (often while in her classroom). I have an almost final draft done, but a couple parts of the story are a little weak, like the chapter where Wanda has a birthday party with her friends. I never had kids, so I need some advice here. What do ten year old girls like to do at birthday parties? What type of games do they play? I’m thinking no more than a dozen kids at the party, though I have not mentioned a number in my story. How many kids would you have if you had a ten-year old having a party? Thanks for any help you can give me.
