Well, the new rules re: not being able to sign up with Google just might erase me entirely. I went into My Account like they said and found my account is listed under Dale’s email. Which of course is no longer valid. Sooo I might have to jump through some hoops to get on here. Hopefully I won’t.
He must have used his email to sign up for everything. I’ve spent a lot of time switching to my email, and a lot of sites don’t make it easy.
We had another thunder storm tonite. Received emergency notification on my phone, scared the heck out of me. That aooga aooga is loud! It largely missed me and hammered Henderson again.
National Coffee Milkshake Day. I’ll take a malted milkshake or a chocolate milkshake. Or even one made with orange juice, but no thanks on the coffee milkshake.
Okay, now for the really big BIG news that I could hardly wait to tell you. I have a new kitten! I got it yesterday. It’s about 7-8 weeks old, I think. And I think it’s a boy.
My brother, Mark stopped by my place yesterday morning and told me that he found a wild kitten in his milk house (it hasn’t been used as a milk house for 20 years or so since my uncle sold all his cows. My uncle died about 17 years ago. Mark lived on the farm with our uncle before that and still lives there now). Mark was worried about it because he couldn’t catch it. And he has one cat who hates all other cats. He was afraid that Midnight would chase this kitten away. Well, I had a couple free hours before I had to go to work, so I went to see the kitten to see if I could catch it. The poor thing was scared silly. Not wild, as in feral, but it sure didn’t want to be caught. There is a little fence around the milk house and when I got the kitten out of his hiding place, he ran and started climbing the gate. That’s when I was able to grab him, with hopes I would not get scratched or bitten. The kitten struggled a little, trying to get free, but I held on, talking quietly to him to calm him. A feral kitten would have ripped me to shreds, but this kitten did not. I had loaned Mark one of my cat carriers for him to use if he caught the kitten, so I used that to take the kitten home. I have an old rabbit cage which I put the kitten in with food, water and a litter box. This was so the kitten would not disappear someplace in the house where I couldn’t find him and to keep my other cats from fighting with him. (more story coming).
More good advice. Hopefully, that bird realized that Oliver was just playing. On another note, saw a raven, a robin, and two rabbits while out walking today.

Can’t tell what kind of bird that is, but it looks big. Oliver, next time pluck a feather from something smaller. Or from a pillow.

Well, don’t play with a feather that’s attached to its original owner. You can, however, play wit h feathers that are attached to cat toys.

Today is:
National Disability Independence Day
National All or Nothing Day
National Bagelfest Day
National Aunt & Uncle’s Day. There’s one for me.
National Coffee Milkshake Day. I’ll take a malted milkshake or a chocolate milkshake. Or even one made with orange juice, but no thanks on the coffee milkshake.

That’s wonderful. We adopted our Monty after Sooty’s died. I have no doubt your kitten will settle in and give you all the love you’ll give him/her.

Hopefully, Oliver learned that lessson well. I don’t think birds like to have their feathers ruffled.
