Well, Mrs. Gowdy would have been your means of escape. No need to resort to plan B or plan C or any of the rest. But now it looks like you need a Plan A to keep Mrs. Gowdy away.
NATIONAL EAT WHAT YOU WANT DAY. That’s every day for e I always eat what I want ans when I want.
NATIONAL TWILIGHT ZONE DAY
NATIONAL SCHOOL NURSE DAY
NATIONAL RECEPTIONISTS DAY
NATIONAL FOAM ROLLING DAY. National Foam Rolling Day recognizes a therapy that’s been called the poor man’s massage. While we can’t get a massage every day, foam rolling offers the next best thing! Brush your muscles daily with a foam roller. The first foam roller was patented in the US in the 1920s, so foam rolling is nothing new. However, foam rolling is gaining momentum in recent years.Foam rollers may offer relief from muscle aches and pain. While more research is still needed, some small studies have suggested that foam rollers may help reduce stress, relieve muscle pain related to fibromyalgia and exercise, increase range of motion, and flexibility. Foam rollers come in a variety of sizes, though they are usually cylindrical or balls. They may be smooth or have nodules for a deeper massage.
From yesterday’s comments to FrannieL who asked, “I don’t mean to be nosy, but where do you live? I live in Maine and am waiting until this weekend to hopefully do some planting. It has been in the 30s at night.”
I live in southern Wisconsin. And you’re not being nosy. We were chilly here all last week, but summer hit us this week. Time for planting seeds. But I won’t stick the tomato plants in the garden for a couple more weeks yet. I started those indoors under a grow light where they have been doing very well.
Also from yesterday’s comments to JP Steve who said,“Four hills of zucchini? Are you planning to feed the world?”
I’ve never frown zucchini before, so I’m not sure what to expect. I have heard it is a very prolific plant, though. I have a very large garden area to plant in. I get lots more produce than I can use, but I do this so I can sell all my extra produce in our break room at work. I donate all the money raised to the Children’s Miracle Hospital (CMN). This is a win/win thing as my co-workers are getting good, fresh produce, grown with no chemical weed killers (I use organic fertilizer) at a bargain price, less than the grocery stores charge. And CMN gets the money. And I get plenty enough produce for my own use. Last year, I was able to donate $141 to CMN. My goal this year is to exceed $150.
Last year, I picked up a couple zucchinis at the free produce stand at our local community garden. I took those into our break room to sell and one co-worker told me “If you get more of these, bring them in. I’ll buy as many as you can get.” Not knowing anything about growing zucchini, I wasn’t sure which variety I should plant. So I chose 2 different ones and planted two hills of each. If I get too many, I could always put them out in front of my house with a “Free” sign (I’ve seen others who do that) or I can celebrate my very first Sneak A Zucchini On Your Neighbor’s Porch holiday when that rolls around by doing just that. This is my learning year. Next year, I’ll know how much zucchini to plant.
I almost never see hummingbirds where I live. We are overrun right now with red-winged blackbirds, who are truly evil. Today, one of them dive bombed my head twice. A few minutes later, I saw three of them gang up on a little bird that had mistakenly wandered into their territory. They killed it. Poor thing was just trying to get away. I saw a single blackbird kill another little bird a few days ago. I don’t know what is going on, why they are getting so belligerent, unless there are just so many more of them now than we used to have and they are taking over.
Lily makes a good point. Still, I suppose they would rather escape on their own terms than be forced out. On another note, saw seven robins, a wren, a raven, and a rabbit while out walking today.

Chesney, you have to be outside to want to go inside. While you’re inside, that’s when you want to go outside. Got it?
