Another big storm tonite. Lots of lightning. And flooding in some parts of the valley. AND it’s supposed to happen all the rest of the week. Do we ever need this!
I went to Animal House yesterday and bought a large cage (dog crate, actually – German Shepherd sized) and I set it up in a spare bedroom. I managed to get Annie out of the cage where the kittens are by getting her to run into a cat carrier (I couldn’t touch her). So she is by herself in the new crate out of sight of the kittens who are in the living room. I will be making an appointment to get Annie spayed soon. I’m going to ask the vet if they know anyone who can take Annie and try to rehome her. It isn’t working for me to try to keep her. She is causing too much friction with my other cats. If she can’t be rehomed, I’ll have to just take her back out and turn her loose in my garage and continue trying to feed her out there. I don’t like that option, but I may not have any other choice. I hope I will be able to tame the kittens.
My two foster brothers got a home together. The lady with the 3 daughters has them and she adopted a third kitten for te last daughter. The calico sister I had has some neurological issues and is with Dr Susan right now.
Side note: when your cat has to wear the dreaded cone of shame, I got a great one on amazon. It’s soft and the cat can eat, drink, sleep and not bonk into walls. Yesterday I loaned it to Dr S for a shelter cat she took because it was stressing out and has skin issues. And, she ordered two little cat jammies made for kitties to keep them from licking and biting their skin. They cover the bodies and all 4 legs.
Today’s coloring page portrays Oliver quite well. Contrary to what Chesney says, I think it’s quite commendable that Oliver has made friends with a dog. Shows that he can get along with anybody. On another note, saw three rabbits and a dragonfly while out walking today.
