Off topic but my current frustration level is at about a 9.
1. My computer is giving me fits. I’ve had Logan and Ronnie on it via remote for a week and finally took the darn thing into the office yesterday. It was a last resort because it’s my desktop one and a pain in the patootie to get all unhooked then rehooked up. So, I’m on the laptop until next week some time. I really only use this on trips so don’t have all of my ‘stuff’ which annoys me.
2. Earlier this month I had to see my DDS for something and he found a cavity under a 3 part bridge. This is never good. The plan was to remove it, take care of it and put on a new bridge. Well, as we all know, things go awry when you least expect them.
That little visit has turned into a trip to the oral surgeon yesterday that will result in not one, but TWO new implants. I won’t bore you with the minutiae of it all, but the bottom line is that $5K and 4 months later this will all be done. If you’ve never had an implant, the 4 months is the healing time once the bad tooth/teeth come out. But wait…there’s MORE!!
Usually, if the tooth/teeth are in the back, no problem. You just have holes until the implants go in. Are mine in the back? Of course not. So, my regular DDS had to get an impression and make what’s called a flipper. It’s kind of like a temporary partial denture so I won’t look like Hillbilly Helen. I only wear it out in public.
With trips coming up (Vegas next month and OKC in late Oct), I am not a happy camper.
