From yesterday’s comments, Saucy said, “I have the week off. Today I planted 3 tomatoes, 2 hills of cucumbers (5 plants), 24 vinca, 32 begonias and 2 hanging baskets. Will tackle curtains and windows”
My week off will be May 22-26. I will use one or two days that week to plant a lot of green beans and sweet corn, among other things. I have tomatoes started but probably won’t stick them in the garden until after Memorial Day. I have lots of marigolds started too. I don’t plant begonias or vinca. I have started impatiens seeds, butt they’re slow coming up. And I intend to plant zinnias in front of my house, possibly on my week’s vacation time. I want to buy some lantana plants when we get them in our Walmart garden center because I read that lantana attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. I want to put the lantana in hanging baskets.
Susan stopped over yesterday to pick up some things I had for her and she told me has 33 kittens and 3 mama cats out on foster. She hopes to trap 2 more mama cats tonight. They belong to some of the kittens she had to take two days ago. She didn’t want to separate them (one group was only about 2 weeks old and the other group about 4 weeks) but one group was in a small hole in the ground and rain was in the forecast. If she’d left them, they would have drowned. She has a new foster dad who has some from a few weeks ago and he loves doing this. We’re SO glad to have him on rotation. I’m the only foster mom without kittens so my number will come up next.
Yesterday was the first day since we got back that I wasn’t on a steady diet of allergy drugs. I’m hoping to be able toopen up the house on Thurs.
Very sneaky, Chesney. I know Elon Musk has become a controversial person lately, but I don’t think even he would approve of this. (Well, maybe he would.) On another note, saw nine robins, a Steller’s jay, and two sparrows while out walking today.

Chesney, that’s a cruel thing to do to that poor fish delivery man. Tesla won’t accept your note.

I still think Elon Musk is a men’s cologne. It makes women all a-Twitter.
