NATIONAL GIVE SOMETHING AWAY DAY. I did that last week! Our local hardware store closed out their plants in their garden center and they were giving away their remaining plants. Most of the leftover plants didn’t look very good, but they had a few dozen pepper plants that actually looked very good and healthy. I took more than a dozen of them and I took them to work to give away to co-workers. But I left a lot more there. All of the pepper plants I took to work found homes. And when I looked a couple days ago, there were no more free plants at the hardware store.
NATIONAL GET OUT OF THE DOGHOUSE DAY. But I’m not in the doghouse!
NATIONAL I LOVE HORSES DAY. I’ve loved horses my entire life. They’re beautiful animals.
NATIONAL PET FIRE SAFETY DAY
NATIONAL TAPIOCA PUDDING DAY. I love tapioca pudding. I wonder if I have a box of tapioca pudding mix in my cupboard?
Update on the fires. So far so good. Although I can’t see my hand in front of my face due to smoke and ash. We’re still on alert, but mandatory evac has been reduced. And Jesse, we’re south of you between Bakersfield and Mojave. Gonna spend the day changing the bird/ critter water though.
Stay safe, Oliver. Of course, to quote Batman, if you can’t trust Santa, who can you trust? On another note, saw three Swainson’s thrushes, four juncos, a Western tanager, two robins, a Wilson’s warbler, and a wren while out walking today.
