You have more fancy than one cat can use, Mittens. You could share it, and still be the fanciest (and toughest) cat in town.

No, Mittens, he’s only copying you. You still have your own fancy! And you’re tough, too.

Mittens fancies himself.

I remember the first time when Vlad saw himself in the mirror with me holding him. He started growling. I reached out and “touched” the other cat being held by mommy. It took him a minute to figure out that it was me holding him. And ever since then, he no longer growls at the “strange” cat in the mirror.

I had a cat that would see himself in my makeup mirror and go behind it to try to find the “intruder!”
