Mittens has watched Judge Judy. Mittens knows how to construct a defense against unfair accusations.

Perhaps Mittens has been lying on the heat register, soaking up the warm air that comes through. Both my cats do that.

I have 12 heating ducts and 2 cats, so on cold days at least 16% of the heat coming up from the furnace is going straight into a cat belly.

I think she was implying that mittens might have been playing with the thermostat.

My sis’s boss Onyx (my avi) loves to soak up the rays, but being around 15 years old & arthritic, she can’t jump up in a window to do it, so sis opens a door to the outside so Onyx can get her sun thru the storm door. Sis says, “I heat up the Great Outdoors so Onyx can have her sun puddle.”
