When my daughter was 4 or 5, she’d fall asleep on the steps or curb to the parking lot. One of her little friends would come and tell me. She’d be sitter there, head in her hands, elbows on her knees, fast asleep. This was back in the early/mid 1970s and it was pretty safe for all of the kids to be out playing alone. All of the parents were constantly checking on them. Everyones’ front windows faced the play area.
