I was the Staff Editor on “Comics Buyer’s Guide” when the first issue of TMNT was published. Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman sent myself, and Don and Maggie Thompson, autographed first copies. Mine was later destroyed in a fire in storage. It still brings a tear to my eye to think about it.
