“COME BACK” is right, as far as it goes. What’s missing is “…and visit us for a few days during the holidays from time to time – and we’ll try to find somewhere for you to sleep.”
I can honestly say that I love my kids and get on very well with all of them. But kids turn into people, and they’re much more interesting that way. The points where, one by one, they moved out and we got a little of OUR lives back, were real red letter days. (As for their various rooms – the first couple got “repurposed” very rapidly. I’m typing this in one of them, in fact.)
