I was always scared of the “Mystery”. I expected something weird, like broccoli, or pork.

Why does he call them suckers? It makes them sound less appetizing than lollipops.
we always called em suckers when I was a kid. 60 years ago.
It looks like he is smoking a cigarette.
Day late, so no one’s going to read this, but for the record: the original name was “all-day suckers”. Probably dropped the first half of the name when disgusted kids realized they don’t last anywhere near all day.
