Went to a Simon & Garfunkel reunion concert in ’03 or ’04. In the middle of the concert they took a break, left the stage and were replaced by the Everly Brothers. It was not announced ahead of time, just a special treat and surprise for the audience.
I work at a country store that plays 50s or sometimes 60s songs on the radio, & “Wake Up, Little Susie” is one of my least favorites… Maybe because I’m empathetic & can picture the young couple in that deep trouble. (“Just tell your parents the truth!”) And it never gets resolved, just repeated once a day or so.
Love your tributes Mr. Trap. They’re always nicely done. Sorry to hear he has passed on. I do hope I get to listen the helluva band someday in Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven.

For a second I thought it was the Cars “Bye Bye Love” until I read the second panel.

I’ve wondered whether they were in a theater, drive-in or his/her parents house at 4 o’clock.
