I had an uncle who was manic/depressive and when he’d feel a manic episode coming on, he’d say, “Tigger’s trying to come out and start bouncing!” then when he was on hospice for metastatic lung cancer, he’d come up to me when his anxiety started getting bad and ask for a “Tigger pill” (Ativan). My cousin (his daughter) is also M/D, but she goes full on Eeyore… my aunt used to say she felt like Rabbit, stuck in the middle and trying to keep things together without falling apart.
