As opposed to DISgruntled.

I was gruntled until my bank lost my $894.60 money order. Now, not so much.

I wasn’t allowed to have female friends as a child. I was forced to be a member of the “female woman hater’s club”. (“Our Gang” “Little Rascals”)

Couple years back I addressed my local city council and used the word “gruntled” in my speech. After getting raised eyebrows from them, I explained what it means.
